Hi! I am Ivy, a beautiful mix of Beagle and American Bulldog! I may not look a lot like a Beagle at first, but believe me, I still have all those Beagle traits that you love. I am about 4 years old, and those years were not great because I was a puppy mill dog, having lots of puppies. But Midwest BREW has rescued me, and now my future looks much brighter! I’ve come a long way in my foster home, and I’m ready to find a forever home with you!

I am still pretty nervous and skittish; loud noises and quick movements still scare me. For that reason, a home with small children wouldn’t be best. I do love my pack mates at my foster home, and would do well with another dog to help me out. I even live with a cat and don’t bother her at all. I have chewed on a couple of things in the house, but I am easy to redirect towards antlers or chew bones. I am learning how to be a great house pet!

I am still working on housetraining, but I am getting better at it. I don’t much like going outside, so that can be a challenge to potty training! Sometimes foster mom has me wear a doggie diaper, especially at night. It is humiliating to be sure- but it helps! I would be ok in an apartment, because I’m not very loud. I rarely bark except when you get home from work, and I ride great in the car as long as I’m tethered. I also do well in a crate, and I’m used to hanging out there while foster mom is at work.

Do you want to know the best thing about me? I love to cuddle!!!!!!!! I love being close to my foster mom, and I love sitting close to her and snuggling. If she is busy working at something, I stand patiently by her side until she is free to cuddle some more. I have finally figured out that there is love in the world, and I want to share it! I am Ivy the ultimate cuddle bug, and I want to be yours!
