Gender: Male Age: 4 - 5 years Status: Available

My name is JoJo and I’m about 4 or 5 years old. I weigh about 36 pounds. My favorite things to do are play with my soft squeaky toys, smell in the yard, take naps, and go for walks.

I have learned some tricks. I know how to sit and give paw. I take treats very nicely and even wait patiently when it’s time to eat. I love soft toys and like when my toys are thrown but I play happily by myself as well. I love to snuggle on the couch with my humans. I follow the humans around the house because I don’t want them to ever feel lonely. I love love love going for walks. I don’t pull but I do love to smell. My foster mom has taken me for some really long walks and I never get tired. They are so much fun! Oh, and car rides! They are the best. I settle right down and just enjoy the ride. You have to be careful when you open the door to the house because I am so excited that I might go in the car that I want to sneak out.

I am pretty much potty-trained. I will go to the door when I need to go out and I do my business. I wasn’t neutered when I was rescued though and sometimes I want to mark.

I do have some separation anxiety when my family leaves, but it has lessened since living in my foster home. I tend to bark and cry when they go so I probably would not do well in an apartment setting. I do not care for a crate at all, so I stay in a little room with a baby gate when they are not home. At night I sleep with one of my human foster sisters. That is a must for me.

I would love a family where I am the only dog and my Mom or Dad is home quite a bit. Living with a female dog sister might be ok but I don’t get along with males sometimes.

My foster Mom says I have a very gentle soul. I just want to give my family all the love that I can and love when they return it. I love being petted and you’ll find my sweet spot by scratching anywhere on my back. If you are looking for a loyal, laid back boy, I’m your beagle. I can’t wait to find my home to love and care for me forever. I promise to return your love with lots of beagley kisses!
