From Jordy's foster mom:

Jordy is a very handsome 1-2 year old beagle boy that weighs 23 lbs and was found as a stray.  The lady that found him kept him for 10 days until I got back from vacation. She has two kids, 10 and 12, and two beagles that Jordy did well with.  He’s mostly house trained. He's only had a few accidents since we've had him and does best when we go out with him. He may have a few accidents until he gets on your schedule.  He knows how to use a dog door. He absolutely loves other dogs and loves playing with my other foster dog, Rodger.

Jordy sleeps all night in a crate by my bed without a peep. He is just as sweet, lovable, and as happy as they come. As wonderful as he is, he is also awfully shy and timid. If he gets spooked he may not come to you until he gets to know you better.  He doesn’ tlike sudden loud noises and the vacuum cleaner scares him.

I think he would do best with a fenced yard and another dog to play with. He's still young so still chewing. I provide him with a lot of chew toys and that keeps him happy and busy. He knows how to sit for a treat. Like most beagles he loves his food but we have seen absolutely no aggression with him, even when I put my hand in his food while he is eating. We took our first walk yesterday since it's been so cold and he seemed to really enjoy it. He has a short coat and doesn't shed much. He rides well in a car but I do put him in a crate.

He seldom barks but when he does it's a deep and loud bark.
In the evenings we all cuddle together and Jordy enjoys a good belly rub and lying close to us for a nap. He's going to make someone a wonderful little companion. If you are looking for 2 beagles Jordy and Rodger are very bonded.

Contact your adoption counselor if you would like more information on Jordy.
