Hi, my name is Louie. I am a 9 1/2-month-old tri-colored Beagle. I have very very much energy. I love running laps around my fenced in yard several times a day playing with toys. I am working on my manners, I am ALL puppy. I still jump on people sometimes and sort of invade everyone’s space, but I’m learning.

I go in my crate very nicely and sleep through the night. I like to chew like puppies do so I need lots of chew toys. I am working on potty training and doing pretty good. But, I still have to go out every couple of hours. I just can’t hold it very long yet. I like cats but I want them to play with me so I chase them, but they don’t play with me.

I’m not real good with little children because Foster Mom says I get too rough. I am still all puppy but I’m not mean! But all in all I am a very sweet boy with lots of spunk!!

NOTE: Dogs may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

Please read our Standards for Adoption and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog that will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements; and we discourage the adoption of puppies to families with children under the age of six, since puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets, hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy.
