Meet Rascal! He is an adorable 5ish year old male, about 21lbs. Rascal recently went through heartworm treatment and has been doing well. He is super friendly with dogs, loves to play and he has lots of friends in his foster home. He is sometimes a little shy of new people, but he warms up fast.  He loves to snuggle and would prefer sharing your bed if you are so inclined.

Rascal needs a little practice walking nice on a leash. He is a little nervous in loud areas, like a lot of traffic or trucks. On a neighborhood walk he is better, and the company of his foster sister gives him confidence. He zigs and zags a lot because there is so much to sniff. I do not think he got many walks in his previous life.

Rascal loves to eat, what good beagle doesn’t? He is on the lean side right now and being a smaller framed dog, it is a good weight for him to retain.

Rascal has been doing well on his house-training but being a typical male, you just need to watch him for the leg lifting. His first week he marked a bit in the house but has been good since, although I keep a watchful eye on him.

He is just a joyful little guy and will make any house a happier home.

If you think he could be a good match for your family, please contact your Midwest BREW adoption counselor for more information.

NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
