Beagle / Chihuahua Mix

Hello, People!  My name is Layla the Diva. Well, maybe not a total diva but I do like and expect your attention.  I love being with people and my favorite spot is on the back of the couch when foster mom is using her laptop.  Sometimes I jump down and crawl into her lap for a bit of loving.  I can do that since I am just a tiny girl and only weigh 15#.  I am probably a beagle/chihuahua mix but I am gorgeous just the same.  If I have any imperfection, it is my voice.  Not your typical beagle bay but a high-pitched chihuahua squeal.

Foster mom says I'm really good and have not gone potty in the house since I have been here.  When she says she is going to bed I run in and jump on the bed ahead of her then when she gets settled I crawl under the covers.  Maybe I just feel safe under there because not everyone has been nice to me in my short life.  Did I tell you I'm only one year old?

That's enough about me.  If you are looking for your best friend remember my name, Layla with a Y.

Note from foster mom.  Layla really is a good girl and the only thing she destroys is stuffed toys which she kills daily.  Her perfect home would be one where there is usually someone home or there is another dog to play with.  A doggy door as she takes herself out to potty and a yard to explore. I would not recommend that she be with small children because she has had some bad treatment in the past and she has been played rough with and uses her mouth to play.  She is a big presence for a tiny girl and I will miss her when she gets her forever home.

NOTE: Dogs may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
