Hello- you probably saw my pictures and said to yourself who is that handsome fella. We'll it's me Bert, the "George Clooney” of beagles. Humility is not my best trait. Anyway they tell me I'm about 8 years old. I don't know what that means. I can only count to two. I have been in my foster home for about six weeks. Foster mom says I came in with a few minor health issues but things are looking OK and I am now ready to find a forever home. I really like my vet because he said I could put on about four more pounds! I am housebroken, I love to nap on anyone's lap or in any soft chair. I walk well on leash and just want to greet all the other dogs and their people. I also love to sit in the fenced-in yard and watch the world go by… I have not been around cats. I have met a few kids and I have been gentle with them. I just love everyone! I tend to get a little car sick but recover quickly once we reach our destination. I don’t like digging but I have shown some interest in the garbage. What can I say? I am a beagle! My foster mom says that I have been an easy foster. I get along with the resident dog and I have shown no food aggression or separation anxiety. I prefer to sleep in the human bed and although I am technically not crate trained, I will eat in “my house” (aka the crate) and occasionally will go in for a nap. A good diet and treats should keep me going for years to come. I have lots of love to offer and I am an easy going kinda guy. I just need a forever home. Will it be with you? NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI). |
