Video: Duke is a medium energy, 1.5-year-old beagle boy who is ready to find his forever family. He is 32 pounds, has beautiful golden eyes and unique red, white and chocolate coloring. His foster family describes him as a big squishy snuggle bug. He is a sweet, gentle soul who loves everyone he’s met and gets along well with other dogs. He is mostly submissive towards other dogs. He loves to give kisses and cuddle with his humans. Duke would do best in a home with minimal alone time, a fenced yard, and another dog in the home to play with him. He is house trained and will go to the door when he wants outside but is reluctant to potty on a leash. He knows the commands for “sit” and “go to your crate.” He is crate trained. He stays in his crate whenever all his people leave the house during the day, because if left alone outside his crate he will sometimes potty on the floor due to separation anxiety. He will also bark and whine when left alone during the day. However, he does sleep downstairs on the couch with the other dogs at night and does just fine with that. He is a curious pup and wants to check out all things. He minds well though and is easy to redirect whenever he starts to investigate something he shouldn’t. He loves toys but needs sturdy durable ones as he enjoys chewing up plushies and eating the little pieces he tears. He’s a little fearful of riding in the car so he tends to whine at first but will settle down after a while. This sweet playful cuddler is ready to find his forever home and smother his new family with beagle kisses. If you want to be Duke’s new family, contact Midwest BREW. NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI). |
